Factory Tour:
Marine & Agro Export Processing Ltd. is located near the source of the Nile on the banks of Lake Victoria. All fish processed by the factory comes directly from the lake. Marine & Agro uses its own government approved landing sites, one on the factory premises and five around the lake, and also obtains fish from approved public landing sites. Fish from sites not on the premises is transported to the factory in the company's refrigerated trucks.
All fish received in the factory is organoleptically inspected for freshness, and then processed into various types of frozen and chilled products under stringent hygienic conditions. The finished products are stored in cold storage until dispatch.
Marine & Agro transports frozen products in refrigerated containers by road to the port of Mombasa in Kenya, from where they are shipped. Chilled products are transported by air from Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.
